Option 1: Donate by check
- Click on PDF, print, complete, and mail as instructed in PDF.
- For amounts over $500, we recommend donating by check.
Option 2: Donate by Zelle
- Donating is now easier than ever. BDF now accepts contributions through Zelle, enabling secure, bank-to-bank transfers with no fees for either you or the organization.
- If you’re not already enrolled, simply sign up through your bank and send your donation to treasurer@bowlsdevelopmentfund.org. You may also include a note in the memo field if you’d like to direct your contribution.
Option 3: Electronic donations

- NOTE: The entire amount of your donation will be eligible for tax deduction within guidelines of U.S. tax law. Processing fees will be covered by BDF.
- You have the option to make a one time or monthly contribution. We invite you to become a part of our monthly donor community.

Is my donation tax deductible?
The Bowls Development Fund is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization*, and your donation is tax-deductible in accordance with U.S. tax law. Please consult your tax advisor or accountant for specific guidance.
*Tax letters will be issued by the entity and legal name USLBA Memorial Fund, Inc.

Can I direct my donation?
Yes.
Donations are credited to the general account or can be designated for programs supported by the Fund.
Current designated accounts include:
-- Forever Fund (preserves a baseline of $100,000 that remains fully invested and untouched for the future of bowls. Earnings may be used for BDF program support.)
-- Coaching and instruction for club bowlers
-- Youth development programs
-- Memorial gifts in honor of loved one or friend
-- Travel assistance: (1) players who represent their division in the National Championships; (2) Travel assistance for Team USA to play internationally against the best in the world who are usually sponsored by their government or sports authority.

Can I make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from my taxable IRA?
Yes.
If you are 70½ or older, you can make a contribution to the Fund directly from your IRA and avoid paying taxes on the withdrawal. This allows you to make a fully tax-deductible donation while reducing your taxable income. Many donors find this one of the most tax-efficient ways to support the Fund. Contact your financial advisor for details.

How do I include the Fund in my Will or Trust?
Please contact the President or the Director of your division if you wish to include the Bowls Development Fund in your Will or Trust.
